What time are the classes for students in Oman?

Oman runs on GMT+4, one hour ahead of the class schedule's home timezone, which pushes lessons into the early evening in Muscat — typically after school and before dinner. There is no late-night studying involved. And because every lesson is recorded and stays available until the end of the course, a student in Salalah or Sohar who misses a live session simply watches it back the same evening, then submits the homework as normal.

IGCSE and A-Level, taught as separate groups

The programme runs distinct class groups per level and per subject, so an AS Chemistry student in Muscat is never sitting through IGCSE material — and the reverse.

How a study week runs from Oman

The rhythm is fixed and simple — the same four beats every week from the first lesson to the final revision class.

  1. Attend or watch

Join the live Zoom lesson in the early evening Muscat time, or watch the recording later the same day.

  2. Solve real questions

The second weekly session applies the topic to genuine past-paper questions, marked live against the scheme.

  3. Submit the homework

Weekly homework goes in, and comes back marked with the missing mark-scheme points written on it.

  4. Track and fix

Regular tests and mocks show exactly which topics need repair — long before results day does.

A note from Mr Hosni

Every exam session, without fail, I receive messages from students in Oman who prepared entirely on their own — and the message is always the same: the mark scheme made no sense until it was too late. I have been teaching Biology and Chemistry for over 20 years, 16 of them at A-level, and I can tell you the mark scheme is not written to teach you. It is written for the person marking you.

That is the whole reason this programme exists. In every class, we take the shorthand of the official scheme and turn it into full answers a student can actually learn from — the reasoning between the question and the final wording, step by step. Once a student sees twenty of those, they start producing them. That's the moment the grade moves.

Distance is not a barrier here. Whether you are in Muscat or hours away, the live class, the recording and the marked homework reach you the same way. Have a look at the solved papers, watch one lesson, and then decide. I wish you all best of luck.

Results from students in Oman

All the latest papers are there and fully solved. The clarity made revision faster, and the answers clearly show where each mark is gained. I practised the revision questions — it helped me a lot, and that is why I recommend this course for everyone.

I used this package for the Unit 3 exam and it saved me a lot of time — I didn't have a clue how to structure the answers.

Questions from families in Oman

Can my child join partway through the year?

Yes — recordings of every earlier lesson stay available, so a mid-year joiner in Oman catches up at their own pace while attending live from the current point in the course.

Is the one-hour time difference a problem?

No — GMT+4 simply shifts lessons into the early evening in Oman, and any clash with school activities is covered by the same-day recording.

Which specifications are taught?

Edexcel IGCSE (4BI1 / 4CH1) and Edexcel IAL (WBI11–WBI16, WCH11–WCH16) are taught live; Cambridge IGCSE students use the dedicated Cambridge solved papers and notes alongside.

Is this suitable for private candidates in Oman?

Fully. The programme delivers the complete specification with exam technique and past-paper training, which is precisely what a private candidate lacks without a school class.

How is payment handled from Oman?

Card payments process normally from Oman, with PayPal available if a particular card is declined — an account is not required.
